A shocking footage, showed the moment the National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, appealed to Nigerians to come to his aid as a kidnapper pointed a loaded gun to his face.
Ojajuni was kidnapped last week, while on his way to Abuja. In the video clip, he said the kidnappers gave him till 3PM on Monday to come with the money for his ransom.
Former governor of Kaduna State, Nasiru El-Rufai, during an interview, on Arise News on Monday, accused the national security adviser Nuhu Ribadu of attempts to destroy his reputation, alleging that Ribadu is nursing a 2031 presidential ambition.
El-Rufai also alleged that Ribadu is collaborating with Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna state, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission to destroy his image, He spoke with Charles Anyagolu.
Nuhu Ribadu in a quick rebuttal urged the public to disregard El-Rufai's statements against him, stating that for the avoidance of doubt, he wants to put it on record that I he has never discussed running for president in 2031 with anybody.
El-Rufai during the interview also urged Nigerians not to believe the narrative that the national assembly rejected him as a ministerial nominee. He claimed that it was President Bola Ahmed Tinubu - who did not want him in his cabinet.
El-rufai recalled that President Tinubu had begged him publicly to suspend his plans and take up the ministerial offer.
Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore clashed with security operatives on Monday after they tried to block his entry into the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Sowore was seen in a video shared on his X account, confronting the officers, and questioning their authority to prevent him from entering the court premises.
In Delta State, the Police Command has launched an investigation following a viral video showing officers allegedly assaulting and threatening the Student Union Government President of Delta State Polytechnic, Eruru Christian.
Christian claimed in the video that the officers demanded 500 naira from him and after he refused to comply, the officer slapped and threatened with a gun.
In Osun state, the governor of the state, Senator Ademola Adeleke has sworn in the newly elected council Chairmen in the state, despite warnings from the police and the federal government.
Adeleke, during the ceremony told the cheering chairmen and their supporters that, his administration is on the side of the law and their election was held within the context of rule of law!
Adeleke in his usual fashion entertained his supporters dancing to Ebenezer Obey’s song, warning enemies to get off his back.
