Hinimok ng Office of Public Counsel for Victims ang International Criminal Court na ibasura ang hiling ng depensa na ipagpaliban ang desisyon nito kaugnay ng isyu ng hurisdiksyon. Nag-ugat ito sa isinampa ng kampo ni dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na kumukuwestiyon sa jurisdiction ng ICC. Ayon sa OPCV, kulang sa 'procedural foundation' at 'premature' ang hiling ng depensa at hindi anila ito sang-ayon sa interes ng mga umano'y biktima ng drug war.
