We visited Moorea Island and liked it! We went snorkeling with stingrays and sharks, and saw many types of corals and tropical fish. We drove to the Belvedere lookout. We went on a Miti tour with locals and learned how to open a coconut and cook ceviche.
We also visited Point Venus in Tahiti, where HMS Bounty arrived in 1788. Later, in 1789, this boat was the site of a mutiny. Captain Cook also liked Point Venus and Matavai Bay. Point Venus was named after Captain Cook's observation of a Venus eclipse in 1769.
