Scharfe Konturen, spannende Kontraste: Die Ausstellung «Scherenschnitte» im Landesmuseum Zürich zeigt bis zum 19. April 2015 einen faszinierenden Mikrokosmos aus Papier – geschaffen mit Schere und Messer in präziser Arbeit. Installative Werke, eigens für das Landesmuseum konzipiert, überführen das Medium des Papierschnittes zudem in neue Dimensionen.

Sharp contours, striking contrasts: The exhibition entitled “Paper Cuts”, on at the National Museum Zurich until 19 April 2015, opens the door to a fascinating microcosm of images created from paper through the traditional craft of paper-cutting. Using scissors or a knife, a silhouette of the image or scene is cut from the paper in a delicate and intricate process requiring skill and meticulous attention to detail. Installational works, specially designed for the National Museum Zurich, explore new dimensions of paper-cutting as a medium.
