Join me for the first in a 10 part series as I recreate menus from each decade of the 20th century! Oh, and I try and do most of it in costume too.
In this episode I'm eating the 1900s - the decade that saw the death of Queen Vic, 3 Olympics and the invention of Vimto.
Today's experiment is from Auguste Escoffier's 1903 book "A Guide to Modern Cookery". It is extravagant, rich and delicious - so grab your spoon and loosen your belt buckle.
