Durante la conmemoración del 80.º aniversario del fallecimiento del poeta español Miguel Hernández, en la ciudad de Orihuela, la pintora y poeta Mónica Sarmiento Archer realizó la entrega del retrato del poeta a la Fundación Cultural Miguel Hernández.
En esta ocasión, la artista tuvo también la oportunidad de compartir la lectura de su poesía.

En este video se presenta un fragmento de ese encuentro, que reúne la obra pictórica y la voz poética de Mónica Sarmiento Archer, como testimonio de un momento que permanece en la memoria colectiva: la entrega del reconocimiento y el diálogo con la obra y el legado del poeta.

La jornada incluyó una visita guiada a cargo del director de la Fundación, Aitor Larravide. Este encuentro en España fue un espacio de amistad, diálogo y compromiso para continuar difundiendo la obra y el legado de Miguel Hernández.

During the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the passing of Spanish poet Miguel Hernández, held in the city of Orihuela, painter and poet Mónica Sarmiento Archer formally presented a portrait of the poet to the Fundación Cultural Miguel Hernández. On this occasion, she also had the opportunity to share a reading of her poetry.

This video features a fragment of that meaningful encounter, bringing together Mónica Sarmiento Archer’s visual artwork and poetic voice—moments preserved in memory through the presentation of the artwork and the recognition ceremony.

The event also included a guided visit led by the Foundation’s director, Aitor Larravide.
This gathering in Spain became a space of friendship and shared commitment to continuing the dissemination of Miguel Hernández’s literary legacy.
