A guide to achieving consistently smooth and controlled stops from any speed, whether on a 125cc or a large motorcycle, these skills can transform your stopping technique. Eliminate pillion head butts as your braking is smoother and gentler. Using this technique you are less likely to drop your motorbike through loss of control & balance under heavy braking.
Many people over use the front brake at slow speeds on a motorcycle. Using the rear brake at lower speeds on a motorbike will give you more control and enable a smoother stop. Learn how to feather off the stop so the end of the stop is smooth and controlled.
Towards the end of the video are a few examples from lessons with students where combined forward planning and good use of the controls is the goal.
