The village of Marsham sits along the busy A140 road from Ipswich to Cromer, with the church of All Saints' sitting a couple of miles south of the historic market town of Aylsham.
All Saints church has a ring of eight bells, with a tenor weighing 7-3-15cwt and tuned to 'A'. The bells are cast by a few different founders, which doesn't make for the best sounding ring. They are, however, rather historic having had a number of long peals and long lengths rung on the bells. In their 'golden age' the bells were rung regularly to peals by the ringers of Aylsham parish church. The frame is quite rare with having four bells hanging beside four bells, with them all swinging in the same direction. It was made by 'Day', who also made the frame at Aylsham.
The bells are quite easy to ring but do take a bit of getting used to due to the odd-struckness! But overall, they are a fun little ring of eight!
