The Coronado Islands on the Malihini May 3rd 2025

I had previously booked the Grande for the Full day trip to the Coronados Mexico. They are the process of getting the Green light to start their trips. Malihini Sportfishing picked up their trip. We headed out approx. 10 Anglers , with cloudy drissly weather . Once at the Islands Captain Peyton went to work locating Yellowtail and we found and chased them for a couple of hours . We then switched over to Rock/ Bottom Fishing . The fish werent huge , but everyone was catching . I fished all (5) rods i brought and the funnest being My Squidco Dock Demon which is very fun to pull on fish with . I have it Outfitted with 30lb braid and 20lb floro leader . In the final hour of the trip i had something run on me and start pulling drag . I was all excited til i realized it was a seal . I fought him for a second on 25lb floro leader , before he or his buddy chewed through the line. We saw a huge school of dolphins and Poor Desmond had alot of fish to filet by himself with a little help from John the cook .
