Dismaland The Official Unofficial Film – Remastered 10 Years anniversary

TL;DR : I’ve remastered a film I shot and produced at Dismaland 10 years ago and extended it with some newly discovered content.

10 years ago Weston-super Mare hosted Banksy’s Dismaland event during late summer (Aug 21st–Sept 27th) 2015

I was there, stealth filming with a DSLR (modified to enable RAW high dynamic range video recording). Shortly after the event had run its course, I published a stylised film showcasing this unique event + its alluring artworks.

To mark the 10 year anniversary I’ve spent several days remastering the entire project for another generation to discover and enjoy.

During the remastering process I’ve uncovered a load of assets which were not used in the original cut + some other audio / visual treasures hiding in the archives. So I’ve extended the remastered original with a ton of new bonus material.

The event’s clever and provocative artworks highlighted many societal, political, and global issues of the time. On reflection, much of the event’s rich commentary is still prevalent (maybe not horse meat lasagne but you never know).
