History
Developed in the late 1940s as a successor to the AT-6 Texan/Harvard, the T-28 Trojan became a versatile trainer and later a COIN (Counter-Insurgency) aircraft. The T-28D Nomad (AT-28) was an upgraded version with a Wright R-1820-56S engine and up to six underwing hardpoints, capable of carrying 1,814 kg of ordnance. In total, 321 aircraft were converted for combat roles.
