The Reality of Building a Village for 1000 people

In this video, we welcome our two new volunteers, Joakim and Velina, and give you a glimpse into daily life here on the land. We forage for wild food to cook with, while Karen walks Joakim through the property and shares Neos’ vision for future gardens and regenerative growing systems.

Later, the permaculture team visits to help us explore how this former cow-farming land can be transformed into fertile ground for crops, food forests, and a more sustainable way of living.

Neos·life is an emerging regenerative village in Portugal — a living experiment in community, land stewardship, and a different way of relating to both nature and each other. This is not a finished place, but a process that is actively unfolding.

Neos·life is not about escaping society but about creating a healthier, happier and more connected way of being — by asking questions like:
How do we want to live?
How do we relate to land, each other and ourselves?
What happens when people choose presence over speed?
