Werneth Low Part 2 • 4K60

Werneth Low is a hill in Tameside, south east of Manchester. It has fantastic views across the city and as far as the Welsh mountains on a good day (today was not a good day). There is a country park and a war memorial at the top, and it can make for a nice country ramble or a challenging hill climb depending on which direction you approach from. When I left home this afternoon it was nice and sunny and the forecast was less than a 50% chance of rain, but by the time I got to the park entrance it was 1 degree above freezing and sleeting sideways. The hilltop and the path to the memorial are very exposed and I was not dressed for this weather, so I decided to explore some of the lanes around the entrance to the park instead. Here in part 2 we begin at the entrance to a reservoir and proceed past a row of lovely cottages opposite the park.
