After all the drama that saw us making an unscheduled overnight stop in Bela Bela, I never thought I would start the new day going for a walk with a warthog and 2 Yorkshire terriers!
Isn’t life just great and a constant dark cloud silver lining reminder…what a wonderful treat and cheer me up our short stay at Vlakkieskraal turned out to be.
We were back on the road for the 400km drive to my mates farm, Caracal Lodge in the Houtboshoek, Mpumulanga.
It’s a wonderful base for exploring all the incredible spots this area offers - Mac Mac Falls, Pilgrims Rest, Gods Window, Kaapsehoop - but for us, there was nothing better than staying put and just soaking up THE most incredible wild camping spot and just enjoying all thats on offer on the farm.
