Mount Vernon & Town Hall

With welcoming living spaces and common areas designed for both study and fellowship, it’s the strong sense of community that makes Mount Vernon feel like home. From late-night study sessions to spontaneous conversations in the lounge, this is where students come together to support each other, both academically and personally.

Monticello, Montpelier, and Oak Hill are—along with Mount Vernon—Williamsburg-styled residence halls that began housing students in January of 2001. Each has four wings containing two two-room suites sharing a common bathroom and with their own sink. The larger room in each suite has a maximum occupancy of four, and the smaller one has a maximum occupancy of three. Each room contains two desks, and the students without desks in their rooms can claim cubicles in the second-floor study lounge. Mount Vernon's basement, the campus Town Hall, also serves as a classroom and as the location for our student-run drama club, Eden Troupe's, performances.
