⭐ Mission Overview

“Metropolis” is the third campaign mission in Halo 2. It begins immediately after the events of Outskirts, continuing the battle across New Mombasa as Master Chief pursues the Covenant Scarab.

🎮 Setting

Location: New Mombasa, East African Protectorate, Earth

Environment: Starts inside a coastal highway tunnel, expands into the open city, bridges, and waterfront districts.

🔥 Primary Objectives

Fight through Covenant forces as you move through the highway tunnel.

Link up with Marine armor units (notably the Scorpion tank).

Pursue and destroy the Covenant Scarab walker before it escapes.

1. Vehicle-Focused Gameplay

This mission is known for its large, open combat spaces and epic vehicle battles. Players can:

Drive a Scorpion tank

Ride in Warthogs

Hijack Ghosts, Wraiths, and other enemy vehicles

2. The Famous Bridge Section

One of Halo’s iconic encounters:

A huge multi-vehicle battle on a long suspension bridge

Banshees attacking overhead

Covenant armor units blocking the path

3. Scarab Finale

You fight your way onto the Scarab and battle Covenant forces inside until you destroy its power core.
