The Story Behind Sirens

Sirens tells the story of a perilous sea crossing – a journey driven by the longing for safety, yet shadowed by danger and deception.
People leave their homeland, fleeing regimes, war, and hunger. They entrust their lives to strangers, paying in advance for a promise rarely kept.
Lampedusa becomes a symbol of hope, while the distant vision of Paris or a normal life fuels their determination. But the “sirens” that call are double-edged: sweet voices promising a new future, often ending in silence – in disillusionment or death.
The song is a sonic tableau of hope, exploitation, and the fragility of human dreams.
