Symptoms of an ocular allergy can be minimized by washing your eyes with cold water, by cold fomentation, and by using sunglasses. Safe and light medicine may be used to treat allergy. Use of steroids for a long time may lead to steroids induced glaucoma even in children. Frequent rubbing may lead to the formation of keratoconus so must be avoided. One must avoid exposure to the sun, dust, and pollution(smog).
