I picked up this electronic keyer when I got my license in 1991 at "Ladd Electronics" in Omaha. I don't know how old it was when I got it. The shop owner said it had an intermittent issue but I could have it for $20. I took it home and found a bad solder joint which was an easy fix with a hot iron. I used this keyer for many years before upgrading.
It has paddles, Iambic keyer, speed control, practice oscillator volume, and Auto/Semi switch. On the back, there is a tone adjustment, and switch to chose between solid state, and relay keying. The Auto/Semi switch changes it from full auto to manual dahs like a bug.
Forrest has an amazing collection of keys. It was fun to work him with one that just maybe he doesn't have... yet. :)
