Grindelwald
Grindelwald - is a municipality in Switzerland, in the canton of Bern, in the administrative region of Oberland, in the district of Interlaken-Oberhasli. It lies in the Bernese Oberland. Tourist resort with ski slopes, starting point for trips to the Eigergletscher Glacier and the Wetterhorn. In summer, a base for mountain trips and rock climbing.
The center of the village lies at an altitude of 1,034 m above sea level.
Tourists have at their disposal 300 km of summer hiking trails and 160 km of bicycle routes. In winter, skiers can use 214 km of downhill trails and 50 km of cross-country trails, and tourists have 70 km of hiking trails. There are 44 cableways, ski lifts and other mechanical transport facilities in the village.
Täsch
Täsch - is a Swiss town and commune in the canton of Valais, in the district of Visp. It is situated in the Mattertal valley in the Pennine Alps, near Zermatt. The road leading through the valley ends here. Further on, Zermatt can only be reached by train. According to the last census, 1,126 people lived here.
Täsch is a large ski base and sports center. In 1985, the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships were held here.
