Tucked away in the Valmalenco valley, right up on the border with Switzerland, the Fellaria glacier looks stunning. Rapidly retreating, it’s a pretty popular spot with Italian hikers in the weekends, but still somewhat unknown to foreign tourists. We hiked 28km in total on a big loop spread across two days in July 2025, as part of our three week van tour through the Italian Alps. Enjoy the views and stay for the back story at the end!
