Recently Oblivion Remastered came out and as someone who’s never played the original Oblivion, Skyrim or any other Single Player Bethesda game for that matter I thought now would be a good time to try it out to see how it holds up in 2025 after what appears to be a massive graphics overhaul.
To answer why I never played Oblivion, this game initially released in 2006 when I was first getting into the MMORPG genre, so playing games like Runescape and WoW for the first time then the following year I was big into FPS with games like halo 3 and modern warfare 1 as well as twiddling my fingers on guitar hero 3, no regrets really, it was a fantastic time for gaming.
The only Bethesda game I’ve ever really sunk a decent amount of time into was Elder Scrolls Online but with that being an MMO I’d imagine it’s a lot different to Oblivion.
In this video I’ll be trying out Oblivion for the first time completely blind to see if it can hook me in and make me want to play more
