AMV Topics - Episode 01 // When should you use Twixtor?

Hello everyone! Welcome to an AMV Topic video -- this will be a space for me to just talk about specific topics within the AMV scene that I find interesting or worthy of discussion. Today we're looking at the use of Twixtor in AMVs. Twixtor is a plugin for many different editing programs that achieves frame interpolation -- in other words, it takes an input video at a certain FPS (frames per second) and increases it to a greater FPS, using AI to draw in the in-between frames that are "missing" from the original animation. Over the last decade especially (although it's been around for longer than that), Twixtor has become pretty popular in the AMV scene, and, I think, also often misused as a result. In this video I go over the appropriate uses of Twixtor, and talk a little bit about what happens if you don't take the time to tweak it and do a lot of the work that is necessary to actually make it look good (although this is all more of a conceptual discussion, not a technical how-to).
