Destiny 2 Episode Revenant - "Solo" Kell's Vengeance (One Player, Two Guardians) / Episode Revenant Skolas Mission "Solo" / Solo Skolas Kells Vengance w/ Two Characters At Once / Solo Special Tomb of Elders Two Accounts / How to Complete Kell's Vengeance Mission. Just a video showing episode revenant final mission Kell's Vengeance, being done as close to "solo" as possible. Details below.
Took me a while to get the final boss done. After loading in, I thought that was the only obstacle to getting this completed, but unfortunately I was hit by Skolas and needing to juggle the debuff. I tried a few things to survive it, but it was a hard wipe every time. So while waiting at Skolas, I had to set up the whole Dual Destiny / Co-Op missions, and that took me a good while to get going. I had to get the second PC and monitor setup, along with the all the long cables and controller.
After that it didn't take too many runs to get down, with mostly hoping that I didn't get the awkward timed double buffs. I'm not sure if it's just because I was in the encounter for so long, but sometimes both characters would get the debuff. Previously I tried to swap with only one and I wiped, but I figured out that I can just pass them at the same time and it works.
On top of that, sometimes the buff just doesn't count down. So there was a phase or two where I could just ignore the debuff until I was ready to pick it up. Another time I also got caught out by the Revenant Baron instantly respawning, which also happened in this attempt but I had enough time to get back and swap the buff. I also wiped during the second encounter, as I didn't realise failing the objective was a wipe. It doesn't send you to orbit though, so I just ran it back.
Overall, I wasn't expecting a two-player required mission as the final epilogue mission. Whether or not it's a good thing I don't know. I think they open up a lot of possible creativity with mechanics, but I know people feel locked out by them too. That's not for me to decide on or judge what's right or wrong, but it also doesn't really impact me as it allows me to do stupid things like this video.

As with the Dual Destiny and co-operative focus mission, this impossible to truly solo. You can't load into the mission without another player, and the Skolas fight itself has a mechanic that requires 2 people to juggle the debuff. To get around that, I cleared this with my main character on mouse and keyboard, and the second character I used a controller on a second screen. And with that, I did the entire mission "solo"... playing two accounts at once.
As I said before, obviously this isn't a true solo or anything like that. This is just done for a way to get around it, and for something to post on the mission. Unfortunately, I don't currently have the setup to record both of my screens, so the second character POV wasn't include this time. But it's just AFK there the entire run, and purely for the debuff juggling. I realise this one isn't the most interesting to watch as a result, along with having to spend half of the run focused on running back and forth to juggle the buffs.
