This week I do a deep dive into two popular detectors for beginner to intermediate detectorists. The Minelab Vanquish 540 and the Nokta Makro Simplex+. Which one is best? Watch this for the answer. In Part 1 I compare features, ergonomics, build quality of the two machines, and start the testing with some airtests. In Part 2 I continue with Recovery test, iron separation test, and a dirt test using my exclusive Virginia Dirt Box. Then we cover the intangibles and reach a conclusion as to which of these machines is best for a beginner, as well as best overall. Which one will it be?
