How Realistic is Loki (TV) - TVA Baton, Sylvie Sword Fight

Note: This videos contains spoilers for season 1 of the Loki TV series, in particular episodes 1, 4, and 6.

The Time Variance Authority provides their hunters and guards with great equipment, but apparently they don't instruct them how to use it. A baton that can instantaneously remove a threat at a touch? Pretty useful, right? Well... not if you just twirl it like a fancy glowstick.

The fighting in the chamber of the Time Keepers is full of strange shenanigans, and presumably people who lied on the resume but got the job anyway.

Loki and Sylvie are clearly more skilled with weapons, and their sword duel looks good overall. The way they combine swordsmanship with magic is cool to see. Of course you can't expect too much realism in the MCU... There is a rather odd moment however, a bit of a headscratcher. Let's dive into it, over-thinking mode engaged.
