Follow along while we transform my parent's grass into an Organic/ Regenerative Garden space which will suit their needs. While many hours have been implemented (we are working on editing and posting those videos), you can still learn while planning your own space over the Winter, so we are all ready to grow in the Spring!

Quack grass takes up 80 - 90% of nutrients your other plants need to grow. Get it out! I watched a video (which I didn't save...poop or else I'd share) of this woman digging a trench around her garden to get rid of her quack grass. This is exactly what we are going to do here. Because it has Rhizomes, sometimes you do not know how bad it is until your plants don't grow so well. I know this happened to me out while I was farming. So, the Trench it is because the quack grass won't be able to jump a trench, and rock will go in the trench not wood chips in case the Rhizome would grow through the wood chips. We are also putting in T-post to keep out the Deer. These are 10ft tall T-post and I will need some help putting them in for sure. I have not done T-posts this tall before. Shorter ones yes for trellising, but not 10ft. We will have to come back once I can have some help with putting in the remainder T-posts. See I wanted to put them in in the Fall because the ground would be so hard in the Spring and I didn't want to wait until the ground thawed. We will see if this is a good idea or not. Remember to get rid of quack grass by black tarps then digging a trench because the quack grass just comes right back into your growing space if you tarp it but do not trench it. This is what so many farmers and gardeners go through is weeding over and over. We are going to create a weed free garden and so no weeding necessary ... without using any chemicals aka Organic growing methods right here.
