On this particular day, the shopping center was fairly busy, with plenty of people enjoying the weather, shopping, and dining. Along the way, I was approached by a few vendors offering to clean my shoes as part of a product demonstration—which I graciously declined, but it added to the lively, street-level energy of the mall.
