"What the FAC?" is a student advocacy group that addresses the lack of spaces for the Fine Arts at the University of Massachusetts Amherst that are conducive to learning, safe, accessible, integrative and reflective of the skill and caliber of this institution.
Meredith Wells is a Performing Arts and Theater student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. As a person who must use a wheelchair to get around, she deals with the undeniable lack of access that exists in many of the buildings on the Umass campus, specifically the Fine Arts Center. Watch as she gives a video tour of the FAC in her wheelchair to shed light on just how unacceptably inaccessible the building truly is.
Access should not be a privilege, but a standard.
