KOLKATA - MUMBAI - KOLKATA || Episode 11 || Kolkata || solo ride on Hero Xpulse 200 4v

The last leg of the longest roadtrip I have ever been on and the longest oneday ride too! 700 kms!! The night before, the hostel I was staying with, did not have electricity and they could only arrange a generator by midnight. It had already rained that evening and the weather department predicted rain the next day and for all the way to Kolkata. So, all things put together, I knew that the plan to start early was not going to happen. On the day, I started the ride at about 8am. Since I was expecting rain, I packed up all the vlogging gears, but about 30 mins into the ride I realised I could vlog a little after all. I would be crossing my 8th state of this ride, Bihar, before crossing over into West Bengal. The route today was a little less exciting but there was a lot to talk about, as you would see in the video. The route today was through Bihar, Jharkhand then into West Bengal. The road till Jharkhand was under construction and hence it was in terrible condition, riddled with diversions almost every few hundred metres. The distance to cover today was high hence the breaks would have to be shorter and distance between breaks would have to be higher but with all these broken roads and heavy vehicle traffic it was sure to be a tough day on the saddle. The route too did not add to any motivation, however the weather was the saving grace, the silver lining in all these. Fortunately it did not rain at all till I was close to Kolkata. All these things aside, the joy of completing the Coast to Coast ride was making it easier. Today, I would be putting to rest 2 age old roadtrip dreams, 1. riding a bike through Kasara Ghat and 2. completing the east coast to west coast roadtrip.
