Welcome to Part 2 (Part 1 is available now also) of an interview with the legendary drummer that is John Halsey and discussing his incredible career.

John’s incredible body of work since the 1960’s has been quite a journey working with bands like Timebox with Ollie Halsall and patto in the 1960’s with also much session work in the 1970’s including Lou Reed’s Transformer album.

After meeting Neil innes the pair went on to work on the Rutland Weekend TV series and then the Rutles Mockumentery in 1978.

Actively working in subsequent years with more Rutles releases and tours, John now has a new album called “Songs of the donkey shed” released on 1/9/25 to share with the world, links to which are below!
