Welcome back to my rustic sewing corner in the hills! This week’s video is all about real-life sewing struggles and small wins. After finding two versions of the same thrifted dress—one too small, one even smaller—I nearly gave up. But I loved the fabric too much to let it go. I also revisit a pretty but frumpy blouse that never quite felt right.
Come along as I try to rescue these thrifted pieces through some simple alterations: unpicking seams, adding darts, and seeing what can be salvaged. It's not perfect. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't—but it's all part of the process.
