銚子口の獅子舞【銚子口香取神社】2025年1月12日の獅子舞いです。

「銚子口の獅子舞」は、1月15日、7月15日、10月23日に近い日曜日に獅子舞が奉納されます。江戸時代、5代将軍徳川 綱吉の元禄10年(1697年)に越谷市の「下間久里の獅子舞」から伝わり「銚子口の獅子舞」は「日本無双角兵衛獅子」とも呼ばれます。太夫獅子が幣束を抜き取り、四方の悪魔を切る仕種。このような悪魔払い、疫病退散などの祓がこの獅子舞の特徴です。
1月の獅子舞は「地域の安泰と家内安全祈願」
7月の獅子舞は「厄病除けと悪魔退治祈願」
10月の獅子舞は「五穀豊穣祈願」
年3回の獅子舞の奉納となります。
銚子口の獅子舞は春日部市の無形民俗文化財に指定されています。

The ``Choshiguchi Lion Dance'' is held on the Sundays closest to January 15th, July 15th, and October 23rd. The ``Choshiguchi Lion Dance'' was passed down from the ``Shimomakuri Lion Dance'' in Koshigaya City in the 10th year of the Genroku era (1697) of Tsunayoshi, and is also called the ``Japanese Musou Kakubei Lion.'' A gesture in which Tayu Shishi pulls out a bundle of coins and cuts off demons on all sides. Exorcism such as exorcism and exorcism of pestilence is a characteristic of this lion dance.
January's lion dance "prays for the peace and security of the community and the safety of one's family"
July's lion dance is a ``prayer to ward off evil diseases and exterminate demons''
October's lion dance is a "prayer for a rich harvest"
The lion dance is held three times a year.
The Choshiguchi lion dance has been designated as an intangible folk cultural property by Kasukabe City.
