This 60km ultra was a lesson in patience! Originally set for September 21st, it was postponed due to rallies and rescheduled for November 15th.
But the start line drama continued! Another rally pushed our 10:00 PM gun start back two hours to 12:00 AM!
A huge thanks to my awesome Run Buddy, my brother Jeff, for tackling those tough, late-night kilometers with me and keeping the spirits high!
Lessons Learned:
• Gear & Attire: What I got right (and wrong!) for this long distance run.
• Fuel & Planning: Adapting my nutrition strategy from no sleep from start to eating on a certain time in order not to get bonked.
• Mental Toughness: How to handle unexpected stress right before a big run.
