Amos 4-5
If you've read through the Bible for any length of time, then you have probably discovered what seem like contradictory realities. Theologians like to refer to these competing ideas as "tension in the Text." Today, we discover some of that tension in Amos. In one reality, God very much wants a relationship with His people and with you. However, in another reality, God distances Himself from His people and from us for our own good. Today, we discover how sin creates this tension. Most importantly we learn how this tension is dissolved in Jesus Christ. Thank you for worshiping with us! We pray that you are blessed through the preaching of the Bible.
