Lyulin Tarkalanov was born in 1963 in Pazardjik (Bulgaria). He graduated from the Ivan S. Aksakov School in his native town and later the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts “Kr. Sarafov ” in Sofia (Bulgaria) majoring in scenography. His main artistic pursuits were in the domain of painting, graphics, eastern-orthodox icon painting, drawing and scenography. He was a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) and the Union of Plovdiv Artists (UPA). Lyulin Tarkalanov held more than 30 solo exhibitions in Pazardjik, Sofia, Plovdiv, Smolian, Dobrich and Botevgrad. He also participated in more than 100 national exhibitions. He has received numerous awards at annual exhibitions of the UBA and the UPA. His paintings are owned by private collections in Germany, United Kingdom, France, Russia, Italy, United States, and Japan. He has worked as a scenographer for some of the most authoritative Bulgarian national theaters.
The current clip includes paintings from an exhibition titled Foundations of Balance (Основи на равновесието), Pazardjik, Nikola Furnadjiev Regional Library in 2017.
