Recently, the car has been mysteriously losing power all of a sudden, plus the engine gets noisy - signs that the timing is for some reason going off. I think the culprit is the removal of points and the addition of an electronic ignition module - there is way too much play in all the component part, so I have bought a replacement Pertronix distributor with integrated electronic ignition to replace the old unit. This video shows how easy the switch is.
