IMMINENCE - Chasing Shadows // sub español

No recuerdo haber tenido tantas ansias para un álbum como este. Los 4 sencillos que han sacado tienen la calidad de una banda de un reconocimiento muchísimo mayor y espero que con Heaven In Hiding se logren consagrar como unas de las mejores bandas de metalcore, metal o metal sinfónico.

"Toma mi mano y guíame a través del valle de sombra de muerte. Aférrate al cielo, aférrate al cielo"
Esta es una referencia al Salmo 23, especialmente al versículo 4, ya que el “valle de sombra de muerte” es una traducción comúnmente conocida, si no precisa, del hebreo צלמות.
El salmista, como el letrista, no está literalmente a las puertas de la muerte o caminando hacia la muerte, sino que está sufriendo una época oscura sin otra salida que no sea vivirla. Por lo tanto, ambos piden que alguien (Dios en el caso del salmista, y tal vez también el letrista mientras están tratando de “aferrarse al cielo”) esté con ellos y les guíe en su momento de necesidad. No sería la primera vez que la banda hace referencias bíblicas o hacia un Dios, canciones como Paralyzed, donde menciona el paraíso o como To The Light, en la que aclama por una mano que lo guíe a través de la oscuridad.
