John Prine has been one of my favorite songwriters and story tellers.
I first discovered John Prine while on a float trip on the Black River near Lesterville, Missouri, about 50 years ago. One of the people in my group had a boom box playing his music, Flag decal was the first one I heard.
I bought all of his albums and sat down in front of my stereo and began learning his songs.
I currently play over 40 of his songs, so if you would like me to post your favorite let me know in the comments
Unfortunately, John Prine passed away on April 7, 2020 due to complications with covid
