The first Japan Night was held as a pre-event to Japan Parade & Street fair on Friday, May 9th, 2025! Japan Night featured an elegant reception with curated sake and wine tastings and Japanese refreshments, offering guests a warm and immersive welcome. The evening continued with a vibrant cultural showcase of music and performance, spotlighting both traditional and contemporary Japanese artistry.

The fourth Japan Parade & Street Fair was held on Saturday, May 10th, 2025! Featuring epic performances by groups representing both traditional and modern Japanese culture, from martial arts teams, dance troupes, choirs, bands and more. The Parade marched down Central Park West, under clear skies and beautiful weather. We're thankful to the many New Yorkers who gathered along the route to celebrate with us! The Street Fair was equally popular, and was filled with visitors there to taste authentic Japanese cuisine and get hands on with some Japanese cultural activities like calligraphy and origami.

By official NYPD estimates, approximately 60,000 people came out to celebrate with us on May 10th. We were so proud to bring Japan to you on that Saturday, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those involved, especially our Grand Marshal Masaharu Morimoto.
