Heavy rainfall across Britain on November 11 and 12 caused flooding, travel disruptions, and numerous weather warnings.
In Wales, three flood warnings and 17 alerts were issued, particularly for the rivers Ely, Gwendraeth Fawr, and Dulais. Flooding of low-lying land and roads was reported. The M48 Severn Bridge was closed due to strong winds, and traffic on the A470 was disrupted by an accident on wet surfaces.
In Birmingham and the West Midlands, heavy rain caused flash flooding due to blocked drains, causing transport chaos.
In western England, particularly in Devon and Cornwall, up to 60-80 mm of rain fell in 24 hours. The Environment Agency issued warnings about rising river levels for the Plym, Tory Brook, and Long Brook.
In Scotland, up to 60 mm of rain fell in central and southwestern regions, including Glasgow and Strathclyde.
