Finally! My new bike is a...hardtail? This affordable brand might surprise you.

Some of you guessed correctly, the clues were all there...Small UK brand, good value bikes, 27.5" options, decent range of models etc but to some of you I'm guessing you've never heard of Bird?

They're based down in the south of England and was started in 2013 by two guys mad about bikes. I'm particularly pleased to be working with them as they have similar views as myself, bikes should be fun, affordable and the customer should be taken care of. Things like full geo info, fittings spec, bolt spec and tightness all available on their site for new and old bikes. Lifetime warranties that can be transferred to new owners, customisable specs, flexibility with supplying own parts, options for inserts and protective wraps and even adding sealant to bikes so all you need to do is minimum assembly before being able to ride.

They do lots of demo days, get lots of good reviews and are always working on new interesting models. It's a shame they slip under the radar a little but I hope I can do something about that

We chose a hardtail to start with to give an example of one of the more affordable ways to get involved, I've also never built a hardtail on this channel before and I'm curious to see how I get on and how versatile it can be.
