Would I Ever Admit if I Found God?

I got an email recently from someone asking me if I would ever even admit it if I found God.
It's fair question: Pretty much my whole life these days involves promoting and discussing atheism.
If I started to think God existed, that might throw a wrench in that whole system.
But I'll tell you what would happen if I ever changed my mind: There would be some period of time where I would have those thoughts privately and try to work through them.
Because I would have to convince myself that I'm not just going crazy before I told people publicly... but you know what? If I suddenly knew God existed? I would totally admit it!

And you know what? If I suddenly found God, I would be rich! Can you imagine how many churches would pay me to speak? How many publishers would want me to write a book? Christians would love me. They would take care of me.
Kirk Cameron and Lee Strobel love to say they used to be atheists and it's more like they were just apathetic toward religion, but no one's gonna deny that I was a hard-core atheist.
I wouldn't just be some quiet Christian either. I would be an evangelist, talking about it all the time and annoying the hell out of all of you. And screw you: I would do it on this YouTube channel, too.
Now I don't think that's gonna happen. But if I found God, there's just no good reason to keep it to myself, especially if I was so strongly on the other side before. And I think it would be dishonest to do otherwise.
Saying all this, I'm almost tempted to just fake it now. Unfortunately, I have some integrity.
But here's a question for you: How many Christians are going to church every week, knowing full well they don't believe what the pastor is saying, but who refuse to admit it to anyone else? Who know they can't admit it because it would mean being cut off from their entire social circle?
And what are we doing to make it easier for them so they don't have to keep living a lie?
