EPISODE 8: FIRST CENTURY JERUSALEM - First Century Foundations TV Season 12

In this 8th episode of our “JERUSALEM: From Genesis to Jesus” series, TV Host, Jeff Futers (Executive Director of First Century Foundations) learns about 1st Century Jerusalem – Jerusalem at the time of Jesus. Jeff joins tour guide, Isaac Karasenti at the steps of the 1st Century Jewish Temple, walking on the very steps Jesus once ascended to get to the Temple. He explores the endless archaeology around the Temple Mount that proves that the magnificent Jewish Temple once stood on Mount Moriah. Jeff then pays a visit to the Israel Antiquities Authority’s incredible coin collection to see for himself, a coin that once was used to pay Temple taxes in the 1st Century. Joined by Dr. Dan Bahat, former District Archaeologist of Jerusalem, Jeff then explores the Western Wall tunnels to learn about the incredible evidence of Herod’s Jerusalem that has been left behind as a testimony to the Jerusalem Jesus knew and loved.

In 1985 First Century Foundations (formerly ‘Operation Outreach’) was founded by Rev. Clyde and Marion Williamson and birthed out of prayer and a burning desire to bless the land and people of Israel through the love of God. Since then, the organization has grown to include teaching believers about the Hebraic roots of Christianity, expanding this message to digital media and reaching out to those who do not yet know Christ. In 2020, the vision was enlarged again and First Century Foundations USA was launched to bring the same challenge for prayer and blessing the land and people of Israel to partners in the United States.
