Overthinking Krull

Youtube will now allow me to post this video, demonetized. And so here, at last, is the Krull video a bit later than planned.

Krull is a fine example of 1980s fantasy cinema, packed with janky fights and cheesy dialog, but touching on some interesting themes. From its peculiar depiction of a technological gap to its oblique view of statecraft, Krull may not be a great film but it isn’t mindless sword-swinging either.
