Modern Warfare Remastered on Steam in 2024...

This game was populated for a grand total of 6 days in anticipation of the H2M release. Before the H2M announcement MWR multiplayer averaged less than 20 concurrent players but on August 13 it peaked at 2,510, a number that hadn't been seen since November 2016 (the month the game was released).
Since the game was so unpopular (pc sales wise), pretty much everyone was level one. If you got to experience this, it truly felt like the game was just launched. Then Activision's legal team came along and killed everyone's fun by issuing a Cease & Desist to the H2M team causing a majority of people to simply refund their copy of MWR.
The game currently peaks at 50 concurrent players and that number is likely to continue dropping.
Not exactly the best gameplay but I ended up separating the Steam and H1 client gameplay.
