This video outlines the process of replacing the fuel injectors and cleaning the intake valves on a 2018 Honda Accord 1.5L Turbo Engine 10th Generation. Many other videos skip steps, have poor angles, and lack description. This was my attempt to improve upon the available information for home garage mechanics.

My vehicle had just over 100k miles on it when this maintenance was performed. I had no noticeable issues that warranted the change. This was done as a proactive measure.

I read that the 1.5L turbo commonly has blown head gaskets. I read that this may be due to a number of factors like:
1. The design of the engine has a groove in between cylinders that may increase the likelihood of gasket failure.
2. Torque is insufficient on the bolts that bring the upper and lower half of the engine together to meet at the head gasket.
3. The bolts are too weak and stretch over time.
4. Bad fuel injectors (bad injectors model number 16010-5PA-305)
5. Bad or low-quality fuel (IE 87)
6. Engine overheating (low coolant).
7. Pre-ignition detonation (fuel)

It is my hope that with a more efficient burn and new injectors that supersede the bad injector model I listed below, I can avoid a head gasket failure for at least another 50K miles.
