Project CRYSTAL receives INSAT Grant!

On October 23, 2025, Horizon Aircraft and partners Certification Center Canada (“3C”) and the University of Toronto were announced as recipients of an INSAT program (The Initiative for Sustainable Aviation Technology) non-dilutive grant to help fund ‘CRYSTAL’, an all-weather eVTOL project. CRYSTAL has an estimated total expenditure of $10.5 million, and Horizon Aircraft will receive $2.0 million in grant proceeds.
The project will develop and test a propulsion system designed to perform in conditions that ground most helicopters, enabling safer, faster, and more sustainable flight for critical missions like medevac and disaster relief.
This grant helps accelerate the Cavorite X7 toward its next phase and proving that sustainable, all-weather flight is within reach.
