As part of the Glenbrook Vintage Railway's annual East-West Tour across the North Island, the tour train, pulled by DC 4818 and DBR 1254 ventured to Taranaki in early November. While the main tour group enjoyed the gardens of Taranaki for the day, the train ran a local return trip from New Plymouth to Waitōtara.
