1. Proverbs 14:27- the fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death
2. Matthew 10:28 - And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both body and soul in hell.
3. James 4:6- God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
4. Ephesians 6:11 "Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil."
5. 1 Peter 5:9 "But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world."
